Comfortable room. Lovely pub with great atmosphere. Excellent evening meal. Wonderful staff.

Standard size bed rather hard

The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. They were quite hot and it was difficult to open the windows, although a fan was provided. The bathrooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean.

The website says that they are B&B rooms but it was only when we got the booking confirmation that it became clear that absolutely nothing is provided for breakfast. I understand that they may not have the staff to open the kitchen in the morning but given the remote location, it’s unhelpful to not offer anything. Some cereal and milk, or bread and a toaster, wouldn’t be that difficult especially as the area is popular with walkers. We were told that we could get breakfast from the community cafe nearby but their kitchen is only open from Friday to Sunday, which was no good to us and the pub staff were aware of.
