The location is tucked away but the accommodation is of a very high standard. There is a little noise from the pub as would be expected but short lived and the standard of the facilities more than makes up for it. The bonus is a brilliant pub menu which I will try next time. The local village shop cafe has a very limited breakfast offer which is a shame. I was very impressed and felt very safe as a long traveller.

A bin in the room would have been welcomed....the tiny bathroom bin is not ideal as the only source of disposal.

As The George only has two rooms they don’t do breakfasts.. the little cafe across the road which normally does a very good breakfast unfortunately had no staff this weekend.

Light in the car park. Very dark but as pub us in a residential area can understand that there might be objections.

Clean, nice decor, good location for what we needed. Dog friendly. Nice refreshments. Secure.

There was a dripping / ticking sound at night.

The listing on booking.com stated breakfast available, pay at property, but we were greeted Friday evening and told they don't do breakfast! Its an Inn with a restaurant and we were staying 3 nights, so we were stuck with no breakfast any of the days :( I would have selected a different Inn or Hotel if this had been made clear from the start as that is part of my enjoyment on a weekend away. Were also told when we arrived as we were 'only' staying 3 nights they didn't service the rooms for that length of stay! Transpired to be an expensive booking

Shower control not user friendly, operational instructions for non UK guests would be helpful.

Wonderful friendly pub, clearly the heart of the village, with a good range of beers and interesting menu; well appointed accommodation, comfy and spacious, spotlessly clean.

The room was a bit too warm overnight - but then I found out that my other half had turned the radiators up!
