"Beautiful cottage and the best host"

The Croft is the most beautiful place for a weekend away. It has everything you need (including all home comforts, games, a log fire, smart TV, bath & shower, games, comfy beds, tea/coffee). There was even little milk and coffee pods to use. Everything has been so well thought through. A huge added bonus was that we got to feed the sheep in the field - they’re so friendly! It was raining when we were there but I can imagine the terrace area is also beautiful in summer, with stunning views. To top it all off, Sam is the best host I’ve experienced on Booking.com. This was for a 30th and she kindly decorated the place and bought us cake! Then she gave us a lift to Fence (saving us a taxi ride). So generous. She gave us a warm welcome and was aways contactable. We would recommend The White Swan in Fence (Michelin star) and the Trawden Arms nearby. Would go back to the Croft, we loved it!

"A lovely weekend getaway"

Great service and very friendly host. Surprised how well equipped this place was (everything we could possibly need was there) and the attention to detail on cleanliness and being so tidy and organised. Possibly the cleanest place I have ever stayed (and that's usual my biggest grumble - no unclean dishes, crumbs in the cutlery drawer and cobwebs in corners here!). My young child was kept very well entertained with the games and jigsaw puzzles and loved the outdoor space, and feeding the sheep! I honestly don't have any complaints! We would love to return in other seasons to enjoy the outside space on warmer, lighter evenings!
