Really great sized cottage right in the centre of Ambleside (but down a quiet street). We loved our stay and would definitely stay again

Location was excellent, having parking in the town centre was brilliant. Clean, warm and comfortable. Everything you would need.

Draining board didn't drain. Wardrobe door in main bedroom is a bit tricky. Shower should do with a warning on not to turn it passed number 2, the water is scalding hot. A few light bulbs out. But that's being really picky.

"An enjoyable and restful week's holiday in a town full of good restaurants."

Very centrally located with easy access to shops and restaurants and yet at the same time very cosy and quiet. The facilities within the house were all present and working. Not luxurious and easy to keep clean, it felt very much like home away from home.

There is a step between the lower stair landing and the actual ground floor at the entrance to the house. The step is difficult to see because it and the ground floor are covered with the same flooring. We both felt it was an accident waiting to happen. We put a book of ours on the landing as a visual reminder and we left the light on at night as a precaution. Also, the shower needs to have a handle or two attached to the wall for safety.

Great location, spacious lounge diner, great bathroom and powerful shower, nice sized bedrooms, close to shops and bars and restaurants, walking distance to Lake Windermere dog friendly, parking space was OK for my Astra, but would have been tight for a large car

"We had a wonderful week, cycling, hiking, eating out & in, relaxing in the sun, loved every minute."

The house was perfect for my son & I, perfect size, very cozy and comfortable & with its own parking. Very close to everything Ambleside offers but in a quiet street.

Somewhere to sit outside would be nice, but to be honest, the park was only a few minutes walk & also Windermere itself isn’t far to walk either, with plenty of areas to sit in the sun.

"Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the most beautiful place in the UK"

I loved the location, right in the centre but not in the way of bars and restaurants so there wasn’t the noise of people walking past . It was cosy and well stocked with games and books in case of rain!

Decor is a bit dated but really it wasn’t an issue, it adds character
