Cottage in the Heart of Frome

The owners were lovely and very accommodating.The cottage was just right for our stay, very comfortable, and well equipped. It was an excellent location and easy to walk into town.

Perfect gem.

Charming cottage in a central location, close to restaurants and shops. We loved the master bedroom and its comfortable bed and living room with its lovely fireplace with log-effect heating.

1. We waited an hour as Booking.com attempted to reach the owners for the cottage's entry code. While we appreciate that 'things can slip minds', the delay was very unwelcoming and didn't set a positive tone for the start of our getaway. 2. The shower didn't work, and I was forced to rinse my hair in the sink. 3. Feather duvets and pillows caused Rhinitis. (Black mould on the bathroom window frame didn't help either). 4. The second bedroom is more like a baby/toddler bedroom, as there is a cot and a very hard, small day bed. 5. A cafetiere for coffee would have been a welcome addition.

Spacious, well-stocked, fantastic location, super quiet and peaceful, big garden, kitchen was amazing, comfortable bed, easy check-in instructions, clear communication from hosts and all round brilliant stay.

This is a small family home and has that feel. The cottage is a short walk to the lanes of Frome and felt well located. It only took 10 mins to walk home each night. The area is quiet and parking was easy. The kitchen was particularly nice and the main room we spent time in as it was spacious, light and airy. The master bedroom is big and the bed comfortable. The cottage was simply laid out and easy to be in.

This is definitely not a place for 3 adults. The second bedroom has a tiny single bed which is incredibly firm. It was uncomfortable. There were elements of the house that were a bit tired and need updating/tidying. We had to clean a few areas too, such as the work surface and some cutlery. There was no soap in the bathroom but we took some from the kitchen and used washing up liquid to wash hands in there. A few simple touches would elevate this place enormously.
