Melbas Whaleshark and Beach Resort

We had a superb time in Melbas. The apartment was super clean and cozy and the owner Eduardo with his family and Mr. Torres who had guided us over there are the most kindness people we have ever met. It was really beautiful time we spent there and I feel really sorry for ourselves we haven't had more time to stay in this little paradise. We totally recommend this place to all the travelers coming to Cebu. Oh, just not to forget, it's worth mentioning, that the cuisine is absolutely amazing here.

There’s literally nothing.

The food is great! Eduardo (husband of Melba) is a classically trained chef and he has diverse menu. The entire staff were very friendly and made me feel at home.

I would have liked a pool, but there is a small beach where you can access the ocean.

The owner of the hotel is a responsive and pleasant person, helps with any questions. Spacious and comfortable room. Yard overlooking the sea. Restaurant on a tree. Very good breakfast.

Check-in - we arrived at 8 pm, but the rooms were not ready yet. The place is not quiet - one day a music rehearsal began at 6 am (the hotel has a restaurant with live music).

This place was so nice right on the water and the grounds were beautiful. The restaurant was very good, we had all our meals on a table next to the water with a fantastic view. The owner was so nice and helpful, he help me find a motor bike to rent and provided a ride to the bus station when it was time to leave. The rooms were like brand new, very clean with hot water. Another thing I liked about the place it’s out of the way a little bit and it was nice to be out of the main tourist areas which were not that far away. It was a relaxing stay and would go back there again some day.
