Reception guy was cool

I booked cheapest option, just to sleep on my way to Sa Pa. Pictures of the room showed that it has windows. When I talked to reception that I booked room with windows, he contacted manager/owner and said that all rooms with windows are occupied. So it's either a manipulation - different photos of room, then they are in reality (maybe photo from other room?). Or there were indeed occupied, and they have like 1 or 2 representative cheap room options, and they give you from 20 others without windows. Both options are bad. I wanted to find reason, after my initial irritation steamed away, to improve my opinion of the hotel. After all it's a very cheap one. But... TV - doesn't work. Fridge - doesn't work. AC - it worked as it was made by engineer/entrepreneur from local market, at the beginning of his career, using parts from old washing machine. On high power you could feel a little breeze, from time to time between AC black outs. Combine that with the lack of windows and you get a perfect recipe for sultury.

Very modern and clean. Private parking for motorbikes. Excellent value for money.
