Lovely place. Quiet and peaceful. Very well maintained. Very helpful and reliable staff. Everyone involved with the place, including the owner himself were extremely welcoming. Special shout out to the cook/househelp, Pankaj ji who made wonderful food catering to my vegan needs. He was the person i had the most day to day interaction with, and he did a consistency great job. I stayed in one of the private rooms and it was very well maintained. The entire hostel is aesthetically pleasing, and beautifully decorated - the lobby and the rooms boths. It's homely and it's possible to want to stay here for a long time and not want to leave.

Nothing much except that it might take some extra effort getting to the place but google maps got me there easily enough. The remoteness is what makes the place quiet and peaceful.

Every thing was perfect and clean. With lots of greenery. Staff behaviour was also very good. Must recommend place.

The only disadvantage is its location , from main road we have to travel alot. If you are lucky then you'll get tuk tuk rickshaw if not then walk . Yesterday from main road I started walking at 2:00 pm ( temprature ≈ 40°c ) with empty water bottle.

5 Stars – A Truly Wonderful Stay! I had a fantastic experience staying at the HouseTale in Bodhgaya. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing – just what I needed. Arman, the host, was exceptionally welcoming and made sure every aspect of my stay was comfortable. His warmth and hospitality truly made a difference. Rooms were clean, cozy, and felt just like home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bodhgaya as a solo or with friends... Looking forward to coming back again!✨

Arman is a kind, helpful host/owner. He created a hostel with a friendly atmosphere and great for hanging out and chatting with other travelers when you're not out sightseeing. The area is very quiet and I really enjoyed doing yoga on the roof around sunset or just after sunrise.

Facilities are basic in the dorm but standard for India and at that price range. Only real downside is that it's kind of far from the main temple and monasteries (but that's also why it's quiet), so you have to like walking or dealing with rickshaw drivers.

This property feels like a home. It is very comfortable with lots of areas to relax inside and out. It has a calm atmosphere just outside of the main town and has great views for sunrise and sunset on the roof top! You would be silly to visit BodhGaya and not stay here!! 100% recommend

The owner prepares food from the staff absent. Also gives a shift in the room as per availability. Very cooperative n friendly , secure to stay for solo traveler

My stay was amazing! Armaan was very helpful and attentive, and Iffu was an excellent guide — we learned so much during the tour. The hostel is a bit far from the airport and train station, so be prepared for some traffic. Other than that, everything was perfect! I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!
