Zentrale Lage, sehr geräumig und super sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The location was great and the apartment was spacious. The furniture, especially the couch, was very comfortable. Apartment was clean and well appointed.

Washing machine was not working. I messaged the host and they were responsive and said they came and fixed it while we were out for the day, but it still had the same error when we returned. Parking was unavailable for part of our stay (you could not enter the noted pedestrian area without a city sticker from 11:00-19:00). This was due to it being a holiday week, but it would have been nice to have a heads up as we were forced to find and pay for parking elsewhere. Neither lack of washing machine or parking ruined our trip obviously, but it was disappointing not to have 2 of the “upscale” (for city center) amenities available to us as these items were a large reason we selected this apartment over others. Also to note the apartment is sandwiched between the main pedestrian walkway and a parking lot/apartment block. The curtains are full length, floor to ceiling. They are a lovely choice design wise, but if you closed them for privacy (which would have been preferable considering location) you were trapping all the heat from the radiators and letting it escape through the window. Shorter shades or blinds would have been much appreciated. .

Rooms: Two double bedrooms for four people, plus one pull-out sofa bed — but no extra sheets or blankets were prepared for it. Bathroom / Toilet: One full bathroom and one half-bath, both with washer-dryer; strong water pressure, spacious, and stocked with toiletries. Kitchen: Separate, enclosed layout — ideal because it keeps cooking smells away from the living room, so whoever sleeps there isn’t affected. Heating works perfectly; the apartment is in a prime downtown area, well-located and convenient for everything. The layout separates spaces nicely, minimizing noise and odor overlap.

Bathroom: The one with the shower has a noticeable pipe smell — best to keep the door closed, or it drifts into the living room. Both bathroom doors can’t lock (damage seems long-standing). Kitchen: Range hood doesn’t work, but since the kitchen is separate, it’s manageable. Summary: Although there are minor issues, it’s still a comfortable, high-value stay. For six travelers, this apartment is easy to recommend.

The location is AMAZING. You can walk to so many places very easily and for places to drive thru, there is really great parking right on site. Such a find right down in the city. Our best stay in Iceland we have had, and this apartment is a bog part of that.
