Cosy Rowan woodland lodge no3

Lovely lodge, very clean and well equipped for self catering. Nice new bedding and shower-room. Good quality fittings.

The kitchen is a bit dated, but I assume next to be renovated to be in line with the new shower room, which is very nice.

The location was stunning. There's an excellent walk behind the cabins, which takes you along a stream. Perfect for dogs to paddle or drink in places. The owner was really welcoming & popped in to see how we would like to pay for the electric & our dog, Maxx. The cabin has everything you need, including bed linen but not an iron or ironing board. These can be requested from the management, as stated in the welcome information. Towels also need to be brought from home or hired. We were really impressed with how clean and well stocked the lodge was. There's even a little gate you can place across the balcony to keep pets from wondering off. The local area is astoundingly beautiful. With these lodges quite high up, it really is a breathtaking place to stay.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, we realised the lodge was part of a terrace of lodges, not separate. From one of the adjoining lodges, we could hear just about every word said. We were woken up on Saturday morning at 3:50am by them, talking, crying and laughing. This carried on for hours. It was all quiet until about 7 pm, when they ventured outside briefly. Then this morning, woken by them at 5:45am arguing. Needless to say, although the bed was comfortable, we didn't get very much sleep at all. Sadly for us, this ruined what could have been one of the best places we have ever stayed. The bad experience that we had is through no fault of the owners or the site. It was simply due to inconsiderate guests.

I liked the location and the lovely owner

I didn't like the old smell that lingered in the lodge it put me off eating anything in there or spending much time at all In the pictures it looks like a stand alone lodge and it is connected to other ones and the noise is not great. I was woken by the neighbour talking in their bed and I don't feel they were particularly loud.

Was lovely location very comfortable and great value for money. Our dogs loved it as much as we did.We had a very chilled time just what we needed.

At first realising it was joined on to other lodges but it was nt a problem in the end and we would definitely return.
