Shepherd's Hut at The Granary

Convenience of Steyning to our destinations Cosy warm cabin Great having milk, bread and butter provided for breakfast.

No parking on site. Street parking was a challenge to find. Climbing many steps to reach the unit, in the dark and slippery wooden steps in the rain. Difficult to haul suitcases up there and out again.

Very quaint property, tastefully decorated, shower/toilet area met our needs - a little smaller than we anticipated! Great location - lovely choice of eateries in the village and the owners were very helpful, providing details of the surrounding area and options of walks etc

Lack of hanging space

The Shepherds Hut is beautifully decorated and appointed. Because it is a hut it is obviously small and there is not enough room to spend long inside but it has an extremely comfortable bed and the bathroom and shower are very good.

It was very thoughtful to leave a simple breakfast- Thank you. The bed was extremely comfortable and the little shepherds hut beautifully decorated. Water was always hot when you needed it. The surrounding garden was very peaceful and welcoming.

The parking is unfortunate in that the car has to be parked on a nearby road and finding a space when returning at night did prove difficult. The bathroom shower area is very small although the shower itself is excellent.

Had a delightful stay at the lovely little Shepherd's Hut - very peaceful, well equipped and comfortable. Steyning is a charming old town with streets of beautiful 15th and 16th century houses. Highly recommended.

One small word of warning - there is quite a steep flight of steps up to the Shepherd's Hut - better if you don't have a big suitcase!

It was a delight to stay in the peaceful, private and immaculately clean Shepherd's Hut. It's a unique experience to be tucked away in the village of Steyning, looking out onto a beautiful garden and as for the interiors, so comfortable and luxurious. James and Sarah were very welcoming and sent all the helpful info needed to make the stay seamless. They also catered to my dietary preferences, which was much appreciated. I would love to come back again. Thank you!
