Lovely peaceful 2 bed cottage

We loved the location very good base. The cottage was adorable and the garden what a view to have breakfast in the morning. We had a chance to meet Martin and what a lovely man. Toby our pooch thought the garden was great too gave him a chance to play so much space. There was literally everything you needed

Absolutely nothing

We liked the quiet village.

The cottage wasn’t clean. Oven was filthy dirty & unusable. Mould on the interior sides, filthy racks, burnt bottom, shelves didn’t sit flat. main bedroom curtains were mouldy, windows mouldy & wet inside, side walls have mould. No wardrobes, just a rail & 5 hangers. A few small drawers. Nowhere in tiny bedroom for clothes. Drawers to bed full of linen so unusable. Mould on bathroom walls & tiles. kitchen cabinet doors dirty, underside of cabinets filthy, cupboard under sink filthy, dirty tiles in kitchen. Washing machine dirty. Skirting boards thick with dirt. log burner glass in door broken & glass missing, no matches had to purchase a lighter. Utensils not in good condition & dirty. Had to sweep floors as dirty. Coffee table has 4 ring marks, also dirty with crumbs on it. Stairs are quite narrow & steep, no good for young children, older people & people with mobility issues. Both bannisters are filthy. Unable to open windows due to secondary pvc fixed units in lounge and kitchen. Bedroom main windows don’t open. Garden isn’t as nice as it looks in photo, needs attention. The decking is also grubby & slippery. Garden furniture should be stored away during winter as was grubby. Shower was good, one of the bathroom walls had quite a lot of dirt on. The heating once it got going was substantial except for bedrooms. Main bedroom has a metal bed that makes a lot of noise when turning over. All Cupboards & drawers in disarray. Unnecessary clutter behind sofa. Cleaner really isn’t good at her job. Somebody came into the cottage whilst we was out, which I don’t think should be allowed unless it’s an emergency. Complaint was made to Martin the owner, he told me to take up with Booking.com as he said I was being unreasonable! I asked for £30 towards us having to eat out as oven wasn’t usable and we had to discard the food we had bought to cook. I shall certainly be taking up my complaint with Booking.com 3 star rating should be 2

I forgot to fill in this part on my original review. The cottage was lovely, comfortable and very well equipped. Wonderful views from the garden.

It needed some sharp kitchen knives, serving spoons, more teaspoons and a large frying pan would have been useful. We couldn’t work out how to use the microwave.

Lovely cosy cottage, very quirky and homely- amazing views from the garden.

Gorgeous cozy cottage - lots of home comforts and felt right at home from the start. TV with DVD player and plenty of DVS - Netflix on TV. Wood burning stove and firwood left for us. Lovely garden backing onto field with sheep. Only an hour drive from Snowdon.

Nothing walkable after dark - 1 pub about 20 mins walk away but not a night walk. Not a problem as you can bring anything you need with you - just handy to know.

Cosy cottage and good value for money

Garden could have been tidied up but didn’t impact on stay due to time of year Matches would have been useful to light fire (especially as we had a power cut during our stay)

Lovely little break. Beautiful, traditional cottage that was immaculately presented and had everything we needed. Yes the staircase is steep but this is in keeping with the property and there are railings. The bed was really comfy and the views from the back garden are lovely. Martin was incredibly helpful and responsive. We would absolutely stay again.
