Sea View Downtown - Albufeira

A generous sized apartment that's spotlessly clean and bright. Our stay was comfortable and seamless. A real home from home that met our every need. Host Helena was very flexible and accommodating despite us arriving earlier than expected. Whilst showing us the apartment, it was evident from the little touches and attention to detail that Helena takes great pride in 'Guest comfort'. The beds are comfortable, with lovely crisp bedding. There are two nice bathrooms, one next to each bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an ample supply of crockery, utensils, pots, and pans. Considering the apartment is a favourite and is often in demand, I was impressed with the efforts put into keeping the pots and pans shiny and new looking. The living/dining room is large and airy, yet cosy and comfy. Dining out on the large balcony is a very pleasurable experience as the views of the sea and town are both picturesque and stunning, We didn't utilise the swimming pool much, as it was a few floors below street level. However, it's large and very well kept. As the apartment is nestled within Old Town, which is very quaint; all amenities are close by - shops, restaurants, and, of course, the beach. Helena very helpfully, gives recommendations on places to dine and visit. My family and I would certainly stay again and highly recommend this apartment.

The only issue within the apartment is that the WiFi is very weak in the bedroom with the twin beds. A WiFi extender plugged into one of the sockets in the entrance hall would help to boost the signal for this room. However, I must add that the WiFi is strong in all other parts of the apartment - balcony included. There is some noise from the clubs in the evening. However, it's not too imposing and by no means keeps you awake. I think it's worth mentioning that there are no water facilities at the beach to help rinse off the sand. So, unfortunately, you end up trailing it into the apartment. However, this is not relevant to Helena.

Stunning view! Close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The apartment was super clean, bright and spacious. Any amenities you could think of are available which is a big plus especially for anyone who might stay longer. We felt right at home and relaxed in the apartment and the host, Helena, is absolutely lovely! We loved our stay here and would come again!

Though it didn't bother me and I was able to sleep like a baby, you should note that there is noise at night coming from the clubs downtown. To me it registered more like background/white noise since it's coming from a distance, but if you're a light sleeper you might want to use earplugs.

The location is perfect and the views are phenomenal!

Only a small suggestion but having a bottle of water available in the apartment for late night arrivals would be great. We’d been delayed at the airport and finished the water we had and unfortunately when we arrived at the apartment we had nothing to drink until we went shopping the following morning. Not the fault of the owner, but it would have been a godsend!

The host Helena was wonderful and the apartment was a great location, spotlessly clean with good amenities. We had a small issue and it was rectified immediately. Upon arrival the host was waiting for us and I would highly recommend.

The beds were hard and uncomfortable and unfortunately the apartment above us was being renovated while we were there. The drilling began at 8am which isn't ideal when you are going away for a relaxing break from a heavy work load but this wasn't the hosts fault although a pre warning would have been nice as we were looking forward to some sleep ins that weren't possible.

There were workmen in the apartment above. The banging and drilling started at 8am which was a bit early when you are on holiday. No fault of Helene

The view is everything. We travelled with a young child, which meant that we did have to spend some parts of the day in the apartment, and we were really pleased with our choice. It was November/December so we did not spend much time on the balcony, but you can see the beautiful view of the town from the dinner table and the sofa, so we felt that we could enjoy Albufeira even on the evenings we stayed in :-) Everything else was perfect and clean.
