Petone - Central and Spacious

Wow - what a great apartment! Very spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated, with great views and friendly neighbours. It certainly exceeded our expectations and we wished we'd booked for longer. A great location on the outskirts of Wellington, Petone has its own beachfront with restaurants and bars (although it took us until day two to find the 'buzzy end' of town). Getting into Wellington is pretty straightforward. Even though the trains weren't running when we were there, we managed to find the bus, which was fine - just a twenty-minute trip along the coast, which was very picturesque. We'd definitely stay here again.

Not really a negative, just a suggestion for more local information (i.e. how to find the buzzy end of town, and info on how to get into Wellington - where the station and bus stop are, etc.). We also struggled to open the key box, but that was probably user error!

The location was right in the middle of the town where all the variety of shops were. Excellent!

Car park too small and restricted.

Location was perfect , no street sounds and had a carpark although small. Spacious well appointed kitchen/living area and I like that there was a separate recycle bin. Furniture and furnishings were modern and high quality - even the cushions were a comfortable superior brand. 3 bedrooms a bonus for our family of four adults.

Lockbox - it was nearly impossible even with phone torch to see the tumblers. Took several of us quite a few minutes. I'd love them to replace it with an easier one. Smallest slightly darker bedroom had difficult blinds, hard to open or shut.

Central location, warm and cozy. Comfy beds and everything you need. Host was great with communication. Highly recommend

The location and cleanliness

A little too close to neighbouring apartments - making you aware that having perhaps an evening on the deck with friends wouldn’t be ideal
