Modern apt near gardens with large decking area - Vivre Retreats

Very clean large decking, daughter had her own room with en-suite.

The floor in front room lifting, and step to the kitchen is lose with screws missing, so caught foot, unfortunately, but easy fix for the owners.

Lovely lounge and kitchen layout Great outside space for the dog.

The apartment was clean and spacious, the beds and sofas very comfy, and the location was excellent for us.

The apartment probably needs a bit of TLC in places - raised screws on the step into the main bedroom could be dangerous, a few outside lights not working, the outside decking was slippery,, and both Amazon Firesticks didn't seem to work. These were minor niggles for us, but could impact anyone staying more than a few days... We noticed the lid on the sugar pot was also broken - neither of us have sugar, so we didn't need to use it, but hopefully this feedback is helpful. Parking could also be an issue if you've got a larger car, because on-street parking can be difficult in the evenings.

Communication beforehand was effective and clear. Easy to retrieve the keys. Property smelt clean upon entry. Looks exactly like the pictures. Kitchen items stocked relatively well. Heating easy to use and though took a while for rooms to heat up, they did heat up wonderfully.

Car parking space is tiny. The twin bedroom smelt bad - almost mild sewage like/damp. The flush in the twin bedroom broke but the cistern lid did not open. Messaged the hosts as soon as it happened on the first day, but they did not respond. No acknowledgment or offer to get this fixed. This was inconvenient basically for the whole stay and therefore loses points. Would be great to have a airfryer in the kitchen! But that’s just a minor detail.

Please provide some spare bin bags and toilet paper. We were requested to throw out the garbage but the black bins were full and it was a struggle.

Nice location

No toilet roll holders; no dishwasher, no drying rack for cutlery now drawers or wardrobe in main bedroom. Missing strip on stairs from kitchen to lounge..Noisy people on floor above mainly evenings

Comfy beds. Hosts got bad quickly when we had a query.

It needed repainting in places.
