Spacious Luxury barn conversion - next to Tarka Trail cycle path

Amazing property, the oak frame in the living room is a thing of absolute beauty! Tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of life, but close enough to town for amenities. So much space, had all of the facilities you could ever need and so much more! Host was extremely welcoming.

John was very welcoming and helpful host The Barn was as described, well appointed and very clean. The area is fabulous Thoroughly recommend stay.

De locatie was perfect voor de Tarka trail en de bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. De hosts waren supergastvrij en vriendelijk. De grote vakantiewoning was helemaal compleet. Het ontbrak ons aan niets. Je kunt hier heerlijk gaan fietsen, wandelen, naar de kust, de tuinen etc. We hadden een heerlijke week en raden de accomodatie echt aan.

Er viel niets tegen.

Une très belle découverte en plein Devon ! Entourée d un très grand jardin et de prairies, la maison en U offre un très grand confort... Toutes les pièces cuisine, salon,chambres, salle de bains ainsi que mobilier et accessoires ont été pensées pour se sentir chez soi dès le premier pas dans la maison.. L hébergement est lumineux car très vitré donnant ainsi l impression de vivre en pleine nature.. Tres spacieuse, elle peut accueillir 8 personnes avec tout l espace que chacun désir.. La literie est de fort bonne qualité et l aménagement de la cuisine est imbattable tant par son électroménager que par les accessoires... Rien ne manque ! A 3mns de la maison, accès au Tarka trail, une ex voie ferrée qui offre 260 kms pour randonneurs ou cyclistes. Je réserve la fin de ce commentaire à Anne et John... Un accueil, une gentillesse, une générosité comme seule la communauté Britannique sait offrir.. John partage avec enthousiasme ses connaissances sur la région au grand bonheur de ses invités et comme l ont probablement fait les 4 générations le précédent ! Bravo à vous deux et aux grands enfants.. Ne changez rien, vous avez tout bon ! Tres tristes de vous avoir quittés et quitté ce paradis vert mais le Devon n est pas si éloigné de la France !! John parle très bien français et Anne est Française...

The barn was perfect for our short break. Very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. We loved the tasteful furnishings, interesting books and pottery. The position is amazing - very close to the Tarka Trail (and excellent Puffing Billy cafe) and network of footpaths. John was a great host and made us feel very welcome.

We loved our 2 day stay at The Barn. It was comfortable and well appointed. The hosts were next door and extremely helpful. The Barn is literally right next to the Tarka Trail with bicycles to rent nearby. Excellent biking either way. We did Bideford and back . There is a lot of interesting history on the route with QR codes to tap into for information . We also visited RHS Rosemoor which is a few minutes away.

Very well equipped, lovely quiet location , yet not too far from local facilities.

Nothing really, our stay was during the recent heatwave, I guess all properties would have been unbearably hot!
