"Exceptional courtyard barn conversion surrounded by nature."

Staple Linney is a large, tastefully executed and exceptionally well equipped barn conversion, set in a quiet rural location - hidden away from noisy tourist spots. There is a really good cafe literally “down the lane” - The Puffing Billy - and brilliant walking / cycling down the adjacent Tarka Trail. The gardens of RHS Rosemoor is just a few minutes away, and Westward Ho beach under 20mins. Plus many other attractions throughout Devon of course.

Being picky - the bed wasn’t the most comfortable we have ever slept in (but that’s from someone who takes their own bed sheet on holiday with them).

It was the most beautiful property, incredibly well equipped, and in the most delightful surroundings. The hosts, John and Anne, were perfect - so helpful and friendly but not at all intrusive. The whole experience was one of the best we have had in many, many years of staying in B&Bs. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your beautiful property.

The worst part was leaving - we were genuinely sad to pack up and leave after a week.

The property was a wonderful surprise — spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained. Every small detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making it feel warm and welcoming. The host, John, was fantastic — friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about the place. He had a lovely chat with us and gave us great local tips on what to explore nearby. The sunset view from the lounge and garden was simply breathtaking, and the presence of farm animals added such a lively and charming touch to the overall experience. A perfect stay for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay, we had couple nights with kids, spacious and clean place, all very well made and friendly host. Kids had a chance to feed hens and collects eggs. Lovely trail behind the house where you can walk or rent bikes
