Under the Boardwalk B&B Guest House

Melissa and her husband are great hosts, the lodge is so nicely located with a great view and we had the best nights sleep in their bed.

We liked the location in Constantia Kloof and close proximity to the Village, eateries and other sights

We were disappointed by the room/accommodation allocated to us. We feel the various types of accommodation (apart from the choice between self-catering and B&B) shown on the website, is in reality not available or not clearly/fully explained on the website. The owners were exceptionally friendly, gave us a room (which according to them was an upgrade from what we had booked), but this did not meet our expectations from what we saw and could have been our standalone villa as depicted on the booking.com website. The situation of having beautiful log-cabin villas with a porter on standby carrying your luggage up the many stairs to your villa/accommodation was not true. We were told that THAT section of the once, entire property (Boardwalk Lodge) had been sold off and is operated by other people (not specified). Hence our disappointment. If the latter situation is true, then it should be corrected on the website. The double room that we were given as an "upgrade" in comparison to whatever we had booked (we chose B&B as opposed to self-catering accommodation) was clean/neat with a lovely view but notwithstanding that, we had a room above us where we could hear people move about in the evening and it thus felt as if we were in someone's basement. The fact that we were handed a breakfast voucher for our last morning to use at The Girls restaurant left us thinking that since we were the last couple to check out the Monday, the effort was too great to offer us breakfast on the premises.

Amazing location, view and super friendly and helpful hosts!

The room / apartment was beautiful. We were only there one night but we wish we had stayed longer, there was an amazing BBQ area and balcony that we were not able to make use of. The cot bed was also perfect for our baby. The view and location was also spectacular. The hosts were lovely and went out of their way to help us and make us feel at home.

The room with its patio and…communal area?!…were simply amazing! Fantastic views over Wilderness and its beach and very spacious. Room has electricity even during loadshedding - very important. Location is great, walk to the beach was via some roads and past a petrol station, but short. Wilderness area itself has tons to offer.

There‘s a stove but apparently you‘re not expected to use it - tried to turn it on for half an hour and thought it was off due to loadshedding until we texted the host and found out there was a switch to turn on the stove‘s power hidden behind a painting. Toilet didn‘t always flush well, needed a bang against the side of the cistern until it worked properly. Travelling as friends, we would‘ve wished for a bigger bed and the bathroom door really afforded no privacy - this could be mitigated because of the spacious layout, though.

wonderful B&B with amazing views!! small but very nice balcony, furniture top, bathroom top, clean, helpful staff, very nice breakfast.

laundry service quite expensive but everything else was wonderful!!

it was so beautiful, the rooms were so cosy and the view amazing. Excellent location also.

the pool was not so clean, but this was the same everywhere in SA.
