The Governor's House at The Tanyard, Boutique B&B

Simply one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed in. Lovingly and tastefully decorated but also comfortable. An unmatchable location opposite the village church in the heart of historic Lacock. And great value for money.

Could have been a wider selection of things in the breakfast basket.

Lacock is charming, especially if you stay the night to enjoy the morning solitude. The rental has its own entry and a patio shared with owners, but the privacy is ensured. Beautiful church of St Cyriac is just across the yard where flowers are blooming. Good communication with the owners who brought us breakfast at our convenience that featured warm croissants among other food. Plentiful coffee pods for the espresso machine. Comfortable large bed and plenty of space.

Stairs, but this was advertised. The apartment is in listed building.

This location was perfect for me. Lovely secluded and picturesque country house. Great hosts. Lovely period building beautifully restored in keeping with its surroundings. Plusgreat comfortable king size bed.

Accommodation was to a very high standard of decor and detail , with a four poster bed , original features and period furniture . Location in the centre of Lacock with easy access to scenic walks .

We were warmly welcomed by Joanna, the house is located directly opposite the church and has parking behind the farm gate. Our "quirky" room of three levels was tastefully old worldly decorated and had a four poster comfortable bed. The bathroom had the same theme with its wooden stand wash basin and brass taps. We were taken back in time with the chain pull cistern and modern version of the wooden toilet seat and exposed copper and brass plumbing. The shower was fine. We were delivered a nice hamper with a continental breakfast by Rufus.

A shelf in the shower recess to hold the pump bottles would be handy
