The Greyhound - Historic former Inn

The breakfast was excellent especially the freshly cooked english. The guest room was large and clean with both a bath and a shower. The former Inn was full of character and history.

The house is a quirky and beautiful 600 year old timber-framed building.

The owners were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble and they made you feel very welcome. Our room was absolutely beautiful we had everything we needed and it was so lovely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice with lots of choice .

Everything! Wonderful apartment with very comfortable 4 poster bed... I got a buzz from the fact that Nigel Balchin a former Hollywood screenwriter used to live here.. Fantastic cooked breakfast and exceptionslly nice hospitable hosts.....

Our hosts were absolutely delightful. Fantastic welcome on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure every aspect of our visit was perfect. Our rooms (we booked two) were exceptionally clean, very comfortable, with every amenity and more. The attention to detail was really appreciated. We stayed 4 nights and each time we returned from our days excursion we found the room had been thoroughly cleaned and smelt so fresh with lovely fragrance from the flowers. The gardens were beautiful, very well maintained and again we could wander at will and sit and enjoy our drinks and nibbles in the lovely garden on the lawn, while looking back at the historic and very lovely building. Highlights - there were so many, but Breakfast is an absolute treat and I can honestly say you would not get better in a six or seven star establishment. Thank you so much to Kay and Doug for a truly memorable and thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Very well welcomed in a typical old house with a lot of information about things to explore around their area. Paradise space with a beautiful garden !

Kay and Dough were amazing hosts—warm, welcoming, and attentive. The cottage was full of charm and history, and the garden was just beautiful. We felt right at home.
