BK Beach Boutique Hotel - Hikkaduwa

Location was perfect by a silent beach, not too far away from the restaurants and shops. Free tuktuk to downtown was great. Wonderful views from all the rooms.

The service was fluctuating. We had 4 rooms with our group for five nights. Every morning someone missed some item that had been ordered for breakfast. Also the breakfast was served usually very slowly. The room service bills must be checked since there were items that we had not ordered. The welcome drinks and fruits delivered to our rooms were also invoiced although we taught it was a free welcome gesture.

Kleines Hotel direkt am Strand. Sehr saubere Zimmer. Frühstück inklusive, kostenlose TukTuk-Hinfahrt inklusive (leider nicht für die Rückfahrt nutzbar). Ideal für entspannte Tage.

Jeden Abend muss das Frühstück für den nächsten Tag ausgewählt werden, kommt aber fast nie wie bestellt – dadurch wirkt das Ausfüllen des Formulars unnötig. Das Personal ist grundsätzlich freundlich, der Service jedoch sehr langsam. Das Badezimmer ist extrem feucht, was teilweise zu Kakerlaken führt. Der Pool ist nicht einladend. Die Strandliegen wurden nur nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen aufgestellt – einmal wegen eines kleinen Sees am Strand verständlich, am nächsten Tag war der Strand jedoch trocken, trotzdem mussten wir wieder mehrfach nachfragen.

Right on the beach, nice pool on ground floor, one on level 1 was about 18 inches deep and 1 metre wide - ok to sit in but cant really swim in it - I did try though. Room and bed is comfy, clean and I had a sea view ground floor room so I could be in bed and look out at the sea. Note the sea at this point of the beach isn't really safe to swim in due to currents and surge, but there is a red flag to remind you of this. Staff were great, though you do have to ask for room to be cleaned, but we found this pretty normal in Sri Lanka - don't expect it - ask for it. They offer a free tuk tuk to get you into town and you get your own one back. It's only a couple of minutes to town but having this service really makes a difference. There's a small supermarket about 2 minutes walk - recommend getting stuff there rather than in town - the price difference is quite something. We only had breakfast but that was ample amounts and nice. Lovely hotel.

Location was perfect to do so many activities.

Die Lage ist super ruhig und an einem nicht überlaufenen Strandabschnitt. Der Meerblick ist wirklich schön. Einmal pro Tag kann man sich kostenfrei ins Zentrum ins Zentrum bringen lassen.

Das Hotel hat leider keinen Charme. Es wirkt alles sehr kühl und distanziert. Das Frühstück ist für ein Hotel in der Preisklasse wirklich nicht gut! Das Bett war sehr unbequem. Prei-Leistung passt hier leider gar nicht. Wir würden das Hotel nicht nochmal buchen.

Pobyt w BK Beach Boutique Hotel był naprawdę wyjątkowy. Spędziliśmy tam 3 noce i wszystko było na najwyższym poziomie. Pokoje bardzo czyste, komfortowe i zadbane. Jedzenie absolutnie pierwsza klasa — świeże, pyszne i pięknie podane. Zdecydowanie jedna z najlepszych kuchni, jakie mieliśmy podczas podróży. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna, a sam hotel ma spokojny, butikowy klimat idealny na wypoczynek. Z przyjemnością wrócilibyśmy tu ponownie i z czystym sumieniem polecamy to miejsce.

- good breakfast - nice beach access and sun loungers on a great beach - nice design of rooms and hotel - one-way tuktuk until 8 PM included - good AC - very safe with night guard - very quiet neighbourhood - generally friendly staff

- narrow bed - breakfast was served always more than half an hour later than requested and things were missing - problems retrieving an invoice from the reception, to a level the staff asked me to go sit behind the computer and fill in my own details which I delivered them months ahead - pushy staff trying to sell tours - expensive food and drinks
