"A one night stay in a very well run hotel-restaurant which served amazing food and which had plenty of options for my pa"

Full of character - very old but very clean and well maintained. A gem in a run-down town that has clearly seen better days

Not really didn’t like but the parking was tricky to negotiate.

We appreciated the sensitive restoration of the hotel, in keeping with its history and its very pleasant beer garden area.

Nothing really.

"Lovely comfortable stay and lovely staff."

9.0

I loved our family room. Very spacious and the beds were so comfortable! The staff…every interaction was friendly and personable. I’d come back alone because of the lovely atmosphere created by the staff :) Breakfast was great, poached eggs and lovely doorstep white bread!

The parking!! I love that there was on site parking, but getting through the little gap was a bit hair raising!

"Convenient for our venue"

8.0

The hotel has a charming, rustic character that reflects its era, and we found it a very pleasant place to stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, which meant a genuinely good night’s sleep. The food was excellent throughout our stay—beautifully cooked and thoroughly enjoyable at every meal. The Lemon Posset, in particular, is highly recommended. One thing that stood out was the Full English Breakfast, which was cooked and served without any greasiness. We made sure our thanks were passed on to the Chef. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and are a real credit to the hotel. Our party consisted of four elderly guests, and while there were a few mobility issues, the hotel assured us that these would be attended to.

Parking, however this is the old part of Bridgwater and it is an issues all-around here.
