The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre

We had an excellent stay here at the Lakeside Hotel. Unfortunately due to a storm and subsequent power cut, the hotel were having an IT issue and couldn’t check us in immediately. Staff on the desk were very apologetic, and we were offered free drinks while we waited. Due to the delay, we were offered a free upgrade of room. I mostly say this to outline how the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was not affected by an IT issue that was no fault of their own. On top of that, the hotel has gorgeous facilities, lovely rooms, and breakfast was perfect, with everything you could want. I wouldn’t think twice to stay here again. 5/5 stars!

Large, comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet location with lovely outlook from room.

The only good review is for the Breakfast Manager. He was so nice and helpful. Very professional. Bedroom staff so nice and helpful. Receptionist very hard to understand and not a care in the world. Very abrupt.

Receptionist totally unprofessional. Not notified on arrival that a planned power outage was happening. Very unproffessional.

Breakfast was phenomenal- we had all we needed before the scheduled power outage happened earlier than expected. Pool was clean and not busy. Boil water advisory on but lots of bottled water available upon request. Own bathroom

Room was small. We are not fond of instant core but seems to be a thing in Ireland!

Everything about it was just fabulous. From the room with the lakeview to the staff. Everything was top class. By far the nicest I have ever stayed in.

There was no negatives
