Girogiali beach hotel - Adults only

Po dovolenkách v 5-hviezdičkových hoteloch sme skúsili toto "dobrodružstvo", bez cestovnej kancelárie, bez stravy, všetko vo vlastnej réžii na 12 dní. Sme nadšení. Malý hotel priamo pri pláži, čisté izby, bazén, krásna pláž a teplé more, krásne výhľady, prechádzky popri mori. V okolí 50 metrov obchody, ovocie a zelenina, kaviarne, reštaurácie, požičovňa áut, cestovná agentúra, zástavka autobusu ... Hotel zabezpečil transfer z letiska a na letisko v Chanii. Raz za 2-3 dni výmena prádla, uterákov, upratovanie, dobré pripojenie na internet, dobrá tichá klimatizácia. Všetci sa na nás usmievali, cítili sme sa veľmi príjemne. Ďakujeme za peknú dovolenku. Myslím, že sa vrátime.

Nikto nemôže v 3-hviezdičkovom hoteli čakať obrovský luxus, takže samozrejme izba bola menšia, kúpelňa miniatúrna, ale nám to absolútne nevadilo. Sklamal nás výlet na Santorini, 9 hodín sme strávili v autobuse a na trajekte, 4 hodiny v preplnených rozpálených uličkách za cenu takmer 400€.

It’s nice to being at seaside and stay at beach hotel

Bathroom is very small, shower space is very limited

We liked the pool, free sun loungers and its direct access to the beach. The garden and reception area were very clean. The staff and owners were so lovely and friendly, and the cleaning was very good! The location was perfect and it was the quietest part of the beach which suited us fine. The owners booked us a table at Kosmas as my partner had his 50th birthday the day we arrived. They also paid for a bottle of wine and a birthday cake. This was so kind of them and it made my partners birthday very special. They also kindly arranged our taxi transfers to and from the airport.

The bathroom is tiny!! You can literally just turnaround in there, the shower is far too small and the water went everywhere when you took a shower. The snack bar was closed which was very disappointing, but we happily ate at Friendly’s snack bar over the road every day! The air conditioning was terrible in our room and didn’t work properly. The owners were difficult to get hold of sometimes and the reception desk is not manned during all office hours. This was especially annoying when we had to swap our room on the last day, as we had a late check out. We had arranged to change rooms at 9am but no one was there when I went to collect the key and we left several messages on their voicemail. I eventually found the owner at around 10:45 by knocking on their apartment door. The sun loungers, although free, were really uncomfortable and more umbrellas could be assembled on the beach as there were only 3 and there were plenty more lying on the ground which could have been put to good use. They were definitely needed as it’s very exposed there but a great sunbathing spot!
