La Salangane Beach Hotel - Downtown

Location was idealistic! Right on the water, great view at breakfast. It was a short walk to the action of El Nido, especially on new years and they even provided ear plugs which were a god send! The staff were so helpful, we were short of money and all ATMs in the town were out and the manager was able to help us out.

It was noisy as there was a club/ bar a few doors down.

Breakfast options were great, location is amazing, the ocean at high tide literally breaks against this building. The staff did a great job of cleaning the room daily. Aircon was new and quiet, bed was very comfortable and firm, bathroom was ok, and the view was as good as it gets. I was in room 4 at the very top.

The island has infrastructure issues, water electricity, serage etc the bathroom was fine, water pressure etc is not ideal but really not a problem nor was hot water a problem. It just could be better. The Philippines in general does not have nice bathrooms for the most part, its a thing.

Central location in middle of town. Hotel manager arranged a packed sandwich for us as we were leaving early before breakfast.

Overpriced for a very small room with limited facilities. Staff on check in were rude and unhelpful. On returning from dinner the tides were so high that our seafront room was flooded and the building was shaking with crashing waves and it was impossible to stay there. The hotel manager found us a room in an alternate guest house across the road which was helpful, however this was next to a late night bar with very loud music until gone 1am. Luckily we were only staying 1 night and left extremely early for a flight.

Friendly staff and location was good.

I wouldn’t call this value for money. The bed was very hard and the breakfasts were not great. The waves hit the side of the property all night, the first night it hit so hard it shook the property and kept us awake. The noise from neighbouring restaurants/bars went on until the early hours and the rooms were very light all night.

Amazing staff, great food, and a fantastic room on the beach, walking distance from everything you need. Just an amazing time.

Nice ocean view from the room. Convenient location for island hopping tours. The staff was helpful. Daily housekeeping. I liked their breakfast. It had a variety of options (continental, American, Filipino etc.) and was delicious.

There are many clubs and bars around so it can be noisy at night even midnight. The tap water didn't come out on the first night but it was solved on the second day.

Toiletries from the previous guests were left in the bathroom. The room was cleaned up but the toilet trash was not thrown away
