Rocklands Eco Retreat - Adults Only

It was very nice. The only thing I would like to mention is the inside shower temperature. It’s very difficult to achieve the desired temperature as the water gets extremely hot und then cold. Other Than that the facilities were great. Just like the pictures. Very nice furniture and a great set up in general. Would definitely recommend.

Rocklands Eco Retreat is the perfect example of an ingenious use of space and the surrounding landscape to create an extraordinary escape filled with silence, solitude and exceptional scenery. Indoors is immaculately and stylishly furnished and the ample windows make you feel like you're outside when you're inside. Quite literally, this is a "room with a view" and, somehow, you experience a "melting into nature" that's difficult to describe. The outdoor shower is simply sensational - we'll have to try the outdoor bath next time.... The vistas and views are incredible and the places of interest in the surrounding vacinity are well worth visiting. For example, at the Hen House (across the road), we tasted (and procured) olives (lots), olive oil (lots) and wine (lots and lots). This Rocklands couple's destination was by far our best accommodation choice during our twelve-day road trip! Thank you to Simon and team for a perfect experience!

Nothing - simply SUPERB in every way! On second thoughts, a very minor comment is that perhaps some of the pots and pans can do with a little "revamp" :)

Wonderful location , good facilities , great communication from the owner

The washing up cloth and scrubber were a bit unpleasant . New ones each guest would be nicer . The path and 4x4 trail up to the property is very tricky by foot carrying luggage and provisions so please get a better smooth path laid asap .

Road to cabin may be difficult for some elderly and impossible for persons with disabilities. Make clients aware prior to booking until road is completed.

We loved the position high on the mountain surrounded by incredible rock formations. The cabin is tastefully furnished and has everything you need to be comfortable. The spacious verandah with fairy lights is a bonus.

We found the lock box for the key a bit tricky to open and close. The drive up is a challenge. You definitely need a 4 x 4 and be confident in using it. I would have liked some information in the venue about how things work and what is around.

The location was amazing and the house everything we were looking for.

The location is beyond amazing! It is one of the most fully stocked kitchen in terms of utensils, crockery and cutlery we have ever come across. There was enough wood left to last a week, even though we only stayed for two days. Simon was very communicative about the keys, WiFi, things to do etc. I can highly highly recommend this cottage. The Wifi is very good and fast.

It is a challenge to get to the property, you have to have a 4x4 otherwise you can park at the bottom. HOWEVER Simon does offer a luggage service to get your luggage to the property. Simon was also very upfront about getting to the property. He also left a complimentary bottle of wonderful olive oil for the "inconvenience" although he did message us immediately after we booked to let us know about the road situation. He is also in the process of getting the road paved for it to be used by all vehicles.
