Weald of Kent Golf Course and Hotel

Our room was nice and clean and smelt that way. We stayed in the Lodge, which was away from the main building. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked with a good choice.

The sound control in our bedroom needs to be addressed particularly on the walls where the televisions are. The room next to us had their television until very late and then at various times throughout the night, which was not pleasant. The only other thing was that the shower was either boiling hot, or freezing cold. We could not find a happy medium.

Location was perfect for the purpose of my visit, room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Parking was good and staff wonderful.

Personally, I was disappointed with breakfast however this was probably due to me not asking the right person, I enquired about options and was directed towards the buffet, shortly afterwards a lady was taking an order from the table behind for options that would have made my experience so much better.

The location is great and well maintained, surrounded by greenery and overlooking the golf course — and the hotel was very clean throughout.

The rooms were very dated, with old and worn carpets. The bathroom was even more outdated, with separate taps and a bathtub. Mattresses and pillows were extremely uncomfortable

Location and cleanliness

There was a fault on the kettle which intermittently turned off and wouldn’t turn on. We couldn’t get a early morning drink which when reported to staff returning the keys he didn’t seem bothered tbh and there was no offer of giving us a drink
