The King's Daughters B and B on the Bluff overlooking the Mighty Mississippi

The property was very peaceful md super clean. Our host was attentive and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The house felt very homey and reminded me of my grandmother’s home.

Heather è la proprietaria perfetta e dolcissima di questa grande casa dall’atmosfera romantica e curata nei minimi dettagli. Ti accoglie in casa sua insieme alla sua cagnolina Fiona con il calore tipico del sud e non potrai fare altro che sentirti a casa. L’arredamento è molto curato e davvero caratteristico e le camere sono stupende e tutte dotate di un bagno privato. Tutti gli ambienti sono pulitissimi (all’ingresso viene richiesto di togliersi le scarpe) e profumatissimi. Il giardino, nonostante il caldo tipico del mese di agosto, è incredibilmente bello e la vista sul Mississippi è da film 😊 La colazione è 100% homemade, con opzioni dolci e salate, tutte buonissime e cucinate al momento da Heather. Abbiamo passato una sola notte qui, ma potendo ci saremmo fermati di più!

Tout était parfait! L’hôte était adorable, nous avons été accueilli comme des princesses. La maison et la chambre sont magnifiques décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Le petit déjeuner était fabuleux, même pas pu tout manger, c’était tellement bon. Bref tout était parfait.

Une petite chose pourrait être amélioré, j’aime dormir dans le noir complet, et il y a une vitre au dessus de la porte. Et la pièce à côté est allumée car il y a de l’eau et du café à disposition (je n’ai pas osé éteindre la lumière) et j’avoue qu’un petit rideau sur la vitre au dessus de la porte aurait été un plus. Mais cela n’entache en rien le bon moment passé. J’ai passé une bonne nuit.

Maison magnifique qui a vraiment une âme. Notre hôte était adorable.

The host was very friendly and kind - really felt at home and at ease, the breakfast is great, charming house and rooms!

The owner forgot about our reservations, which made the start a bit awkward, and we were the only guests. Bed was a bit small for our 2 meter couple ;-)

The accommodation in this beautiful villa was fantastic! The owners do everything to make you feel comfortable and safe during your stay as if you were in your own family. The owner accommodated us with an earlier breakfast and prepared it for us herself, very tasty. Although you need a car to get to the downtown, it is a short distance and parking is very easy there. I hope we will be able to visit this beautiful house and place again!

The house is wonderful. Full of charm and very clean. The lady who checked us in and cooked our breakfast was lovely…her homemade biscuits were delicious.

Enjoyed the location of this historic house perched on a cliff high above the Missisippi. Sitting watching the river flow by was unique I could have done it for ages. Amazing street - houses, interesting historic and military cemeteries just over the road. Great breakfast, lovely room, very clean. The town itself has a fascinating history - watch the 25 min video in info centre.

One of us missed having 24/7 coffee available, though admit we didn't ask. Everything thing else was great and memorable.
