Contemporary 2 bedroom Apartment - Birmingham City Centre - Digbeth Bullring

The apartment was modern and sufficient for me and my two teenage daughters. It was very spacious and clean and had all the facilities we were looking for.

The check-in communication could be improved - the initial e-mail included a photo of the key location that unfortunately didn't load, and the key code was due to be sent on the day of arrival. As we were travelling to Birmingham, we hadn't received anything by 3pm, so I reached out twice via Booking.com. The host called around 4pm to explain he was on holiday and asked me to verify my identity, which I wasn't comfortable with given how common scams are these days. To his credit, he did get the code to us in good time for our arrival, so it all worked out in the end. A couple of small suggestions for the property: a pizza cutter and/or scissors would be a handy addition to the kitchen, and it would be a lovely touch to have shampoo and conditioner alongside the shower gel - particularly useful for guests who condition their hair. The surrounding area felt a little rough around the edges - there's some graffiti and a few run-down buildings nearby, so we chose to stay in rather than explore after dark. That said, the apartment itself is genuinely lovely - really spacious, well-presented, and excellent value for money. It's a great base if you're happy to keep to the apartment in the evenings.

The key code that was sent to us was incorrect, and we had to wait for more than an hour until we finally received the correct code.

Very clean and easy to access.

We booked for 5 people, there was two double beds but no sofa bed. Recliner sofa chairs so one of our party had to sleep with a blanket on that. Not ideal for the price when advertised as room for 5 guests to sleep. Also, 45 min walk from utilita so it was easier to get an uber than walk, even though advertised as 10 min walk - this may have been down to booking com location not being very accurate.
