Owner was friendly, location was convenient. Bathrooms were okay. That's about it. Continuing the 'What didn't you like?' because I ran out of space. I contacted the owner, who was understanding and apologetic. To his credit, he arranged for me to stay at another property instead, as I had booked through Booking.com and he said he could not directly process a refund. The second property was much better: the room was more spacious, quieter, and overall a clear upgrade. The doors were still a little awkward, but the owner was helpful and accommodating. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience. The owner handled the situation respectfully once I raised it, but the first property felt cramped, uncomfortable, and unsafe due to the condition of the room, the broken bed, the thin walls, and the behaviour of the person in the neighbouring room. I hope the owner takes steps to make sure future guests do not have a similar experience.

I stayed here around two months ago and forgot to leave a review at the time. Finding the property was not difficult, and the video instructions sent by email were helpful. The front door was a little fiddly, but manageable. Unfortunately, the room itself was extremely small. I had booked a single room, so perhaps I should have expected it to be compact, but there was barely anything inside apart from the bed, a very small shelf, the window, and the radiator. The shared bathroom meant I had to leave the room whenever I needed to use it. The biggest issue was the bed. It was in very poor condition. When my friend visited, the bed frame kept giving way, and the slats or supports underneath seemed broken or badly fitted. Every few minutes, part of the bed would collapse, which was frustrating and uncomfortable. Another serious issue was the person staying in the next room. The walls were extremely thin, and although he was playing his TV loudly late into the night, he repeatedly banged very aggressively on the wall whenever there was even a small amount of noise from my room. At first, my friend and I may have been speaking a little too loudly, and I take responsibility for that, especially as it was after 10pm. However, even after we became quiet, the banging continued. Later that night and the following morning, the situation became very unsettling. Even slight movements or contact with the radiator seemed to trigger more aggressive banging. In the morning, the person next door shouted and swore, paced around, came to my door, and made scratching noises on it rather than knocking or speaking normally. When I left the room, he opened his door and stared at me in a way that made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. At that point, I decided I could not stay there for the second night. Weed smell in the property and no air vents costrophobic tiny bed and the room was like a grave hardly any place to stand or do anything

Declined accommodation on arrival without prior intimation....though money accepted online for booking 50 days back. Shunted on phone to another dingy accommodation 5 miles away...Had to accept for time factor. Completely unprofessional and callous host.
