Tune Hotel KLIA Aeropolis (Airport Hotel)

Food though pricey was good. Breakfast starts at 6 am.

Its advertised that there's continuous airport shuttle. It's there but runs every 2 hrs. Due to this we ended up taking grab to / from the airport. Beats the whole propose of booking a hotel near airport with shuttle service. Rooms are extremely tiny. No space to move around. This is a slightly better version of a capsule hotel. We, a family of 3 (2 adults & 1 toddler) somehow managed to fit inside, with our luggage. Their check in time is 2 am. We were to arrive early on 5th June around 10 am. Hence had booked an additional night (4 & 5) and this was communicated in advance. This was to ensure we get room right on arrival. The staff seemed clueless about this and hence we were allocated rooms in far corner, near housekeeping section. They offered to switch our room but at 11 in the night. Doors didn't lock properly. It's near the cargo section of KLIA Premises. About 20 mins away from the airport. They did offer us 2 free coffee coupons, as we missed breakfast due to delayed flight. Restaurant was kind enough to provide some leftover fried rice from breakfast and milk for toddler. There are several things the staff could have done to make things better but didn't. Complete rip off.

Near to airport but no public transport reaching there. Shuttle provided but only at every 2 hours at night. The good part is shuttle running 24 hrs

Room too small. Cant close toilet/bathroom door as block by double bed. Even no space to open luggage. Have to open luggage on the bed or on the narrow walkway which is mean for one person crossing. Price a bit high for this type of budget hotel.

BEWARE!!! READ UNTIL THE END: ALTHOUGH IT SAYS THAT THIS IS AN "AIRPORT HOTEL" AND THE MAP SHOWS THAT IT IS RIGHT BESIDE THE AIRPORT, IN FACT THIS BOOKING IS FOR ANOTHER TUNE HOTEL LOCATED 20 MINUTES FROM THE AWAY BY CAR. I arrived at 11:40 pm got into a heated discussion with five taxi drivers for half an hour. Not in English of course, and they wouldn't answer my questions or drive me anywhere. I went to the Tune hotel near the airport and they told me that indeed my hotel was 20 minutes away, the map was wrong, and that I had just missed the shuttle. There wasn't another one until 2 am. Staff were rude and dismissive. I had to go back to the taxi drivers argue for another half an hour and of course the price went up. The machine spit out a ticket for 66 ringgit--quite expensive--but the driver wanted an additional 50 ringgit. I agree to pay this even though it was clearly a scam. There was nothing I could do because this was the only taxi company that serviced the airport. ON THE WAY THERE, THE TAXI PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND DEMANDED CASH. FORTUNATELY I HAD SOME OR HE WOULD HAVE LEFT ME AT THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AFTER MIDNIGHT WITH MY LUGGAGE. I'M A SENIOR. IT WAS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, APPALLING BEHAVIOUR AND IT MADE ME FEEL VERY UNSAFE. I WILL NEVER GO TO MALAYSIA AGAIN. AND I WANT THIS LISTING CHANGED ASAP SO ANOTHER TRAVELLER DOESN'T HAVE THE SAME AWFUL EXPERIENCE. The listing is misleading, and I don't think I am the first person this has happened to. Update: Although the hotel says, "We continuously work with our online booking partners to ensure our property's location and distance are represented as clearly as possible to help travelers plan their logistics and utilize our scheduled shuttle services properly," there is no commitment to CHANGE THE MAP. THE MAP IS WRONG. AIRPORT HOTELS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE NEAR THE AIRPORT. TOTALLY MISLEADING.
