Amazing Stay at an Unbeatable Price! I had an incredible time at this hostel in Huaraz! The host, Erik, is not only extremely welcoming but also a professional guide who takes a lot of time for his guests. He gives fantastic recommendations for hikes and tours, ensuring you make the most of your time in the mountains. If you need camping gear, Erik offers rentals at a super affordable price. Beyond that, he is always up for deep conversations about culture, politics, history, and his own experiences, making the stay even more enriching. And let’s not forget the breakfast—absolutely delicious! For just €4 per night, this place is truly unbeatable. I highly recommend staying here; it was an amazing experience!

Unbeatable price. Clean and comfortable rooms. There usually was hot water. Erik is very friendly. On the day of our arrival Erik spent a long time chatting to us about Peruvian political history which was very interesting!

The hostel is home to many people, meaning it is loud. The doors are heavy metal and you will be woken up to banging and dogs barking. It is quite a scary environment. The room and bathroom both have holes in the walls where windows should be but are open. We felt we were being listened in on at times. Erik left on the second last day of our stay with no one to contact about any issues. There was no gas for the stove. Erik tried to follow me on Instagram before we began our stay which I found very inappropriate. Very aggressive dogs nearby (not the fault of the hostel but important to note).

Everything. Host Erik is a fantastic person, went above and beyond to accommodate us. His whole family is very kind and generous. Breakfast was, for the first time in Central and South Americas, filling and good. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Good location and insanely good price value. Erik also offers a bunch of tours.

Can’t complain about price quality, but there could be a few improvements. The water in the shower was only 5 minutes warm. The bed was not hypoallergenic. The kitchen could be more organised and clean.

Erik and his family were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They made you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrived. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the property is on a quiet street. Breakfast is provided in the family kitchen and we had access to cooking facilities and the fridge. We went on an 8-day Huayuash trek with Erik and the whole experience was spectacular. Erik is a very able and knowledgeable guide. He is eager to share his understanding of the mountains, Peruvian history and politics and the rich culture of the country. The food he provides is delicious and his equipment and organizational skills are excellent.

Very comfortable bed, cozy room, great rooftop, full downstairs kitchen, hot showers, lovely family. It's a nice 15 minute walk downtown or collectivos come around every 10 minutes. Great general store just around the corner. The owner's wife and daughter went the extra mile and we loved our stay.

This property belongs to a wonderful family that cares about their clients. They cooked me delicious breakfasts and they were very nice people.
