Lovely 2 Bedroom Loft Apartment in Buxton

The property was in the perfect location near the centre of Buxton with lots to explore around the Peak District national park, the place was clean and well laid out with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. The bed sheets and mattresses seemed of high quality and was very comfortable, the heating worked all good and kitchen appliances.

The parking was a little lacking with only paid parking outside but we found a side street nearby with free parking, during peak summer holidays I can imagine this getting busy and difficult to park but I’m well aware it’s nothing the property owner can change as it’s the layout of the local area.

Great location and bigger than expected

Basics were lacking, 2 thin toilet rolls for 4 people for 2 days, tea and coffee were old in a cupboard with other guests leftover items such as a bag of flour expired in 2020, but no sugar/sweetener as you would usually find in a booking of this price point. No shampoo/conditioner, but a men's shower gel and used body butter, the bathroom hand wash was almost empty so didn't last the 2 days. Just felt a bit penny pinching compared to other bookings of this value and detracted from a lovely space.

The location was ideal for visiting hikes, trails and other attractions. Many within a 30 minute drive. The road was quiet with little car traffic. Parking was ok, just needed to remember to park the car down another riad between the hours of 9-6pm, as there is parking reservations.

The single bedroom door needs to be fixed as it's coming off it's hinges, and is hard to close properly.

Near pubs and restaurants

Het was een fijne plek op een rustige locatie met leuke restaurantjes, supermarkt en de bus om de hoek. Op loopafstand van het station, maar ook van mooie natuur. Hele goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Een extra sleutel was handig geweest. De voordeur moest op slot gedraaid worden, anders kon iemand gewoon naar binnen lopen. Doordat we 1 sleutel hadden moest de ander mee naar beneden lopen (en dus wakker zijn...) om de deur op slot te draaien en 'm later ook weer voor je openen (of je had de ander moeten opsluiten).

We stayed for two nights and had a really great experience. The location is excellent, everything was very clean, and communication with the hosts was smooth and easy. It’s a great place for families, as children and dogs are welcome, which was especially important for us. There are also thoughtful amenities, including a high chair, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back.

Good central location. The flat was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Decent wi-fi. Parking was available directly opposite the flat, although you had to leave the bay before 10 am and return after 4 pm. A 5 minute walk to 2 pubs at the end of the road, both of which served good quality and well priced food.
