The Wreck - Lochside cottage Dog Friendly

We could not say enough about this place. It is absolutely beautiful. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, well stocked with all the utilities you might need and…talk about location! Wow!! Would go back here in a heartbeat and couldn’t recommend it enough. We came here for our 15 year wedding anniversary and were so happy that we did. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to spend it. Jaimie and Martin’s hospitality was incredible.

Absolutely nothing

The location was amazing .. zero light pollution; 20yards to the Beach (pebbles not sand, in case anyone is thinking of a spanish beach); fantastic and powerful shower, and my 5' 2" wife loved he the bath, but a tad small for me at 6' tall. There was easily two spaces for parking; Air Source Heat Pump; fast WiFi internet connection ( i think provided by StarLink on a pole between the two cottages). I liked the communications from Jamie on a daily basis - is everything ok?

No large/tall mirror in bedroom area and no plug socket for hair dryer. More clothes hanging space - one short 5inch wooden pole might be enough for 1-2 day stop ... but for a week it's useless. We were not sure where the under floor heating was meant to be other than in the bathroom? We have an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) at home and the recommendation from our Heating Engineer is to NOT to use a Timer/Schedule to alter room temperatures as the ASHP takes at least 4hrs to heat a room ... Heating Engineer strongly recommends to set thermostats to 21c and if you need it higher or lower then the ASHP can cope with this.

Very nice little welcome hamper. Stunning location and impeccable property with beautifully understated Christmas decorations. Also being pet friendly was a huge bonus - there's not many gorgeous properties like this that allow dogs. Overall a fabulous stay and would definitely book again.
