The Wreck - Lochside cottage Dog Friendly

The Wreck is fabulous, Jamie and her family have put huge thought into designing and furnishing the cottage. The inside is spacious and the bathroom is huge! Everything was excellent quality and where possible Scottish/local; right down to the books on the well-stocked bookshelf. A real bonus was that the fridge had some food goodies on arrival so I could make my own breakfast. The Northern Lights were on display while I stayed and Jamie kindly phoned to tell me so I could photograph them. It was lovely watching the ferries and boats on their way to/from Ullapool Harbour and otherwise quiet and peaceful with the waves lapping on the shore. The Wreck is a luxurious retreat or the ideal base for exploring the West Coast.

We stayed in the ruin and it did not disappoint it was so cosy and modern with everything you would need for the perfect relaxing break away. It was so peaceful and quiet with outstanding views looking over Loch broom, which happened to be the place where my partner proposed to me it was the most special moment in the most special of places we can’t wait to come back and stay again to share more amazing memories in this special little place.
