Great base to see the highlights of the Peak District. Short walk into Matlock town. The apartment had everything we needed and a high standard. We were welcomed on arrival and answered any questions we had. Totally lovely stay!

It was a very traditional stone building with some history behind it. Mark and Kate have done a very substantial amount of renovation work which is really good to see.

The hill back up from the town to the room but we knew about this. A taxi back up soon sorted that.

"Beautiful Apartment"

A beautiful apartment in an amazing location. We booked very last minute, about an hour before arrival. Communication with the owner was excellent and the apartment was exceptionally clean and ready for occupation. There is everything that you could wish for at the apartment. Laundry facilities in a communal area, books, dvds, games, very informative booklet with history of the building and local area. Lots of cutlery for children, high chairs etc. The rooms were large and very comfortable beds. The living area has very comfortable sofas, one is a pull out bed, lots of throws and beautifully decorated. Cooking facilities were excellent and coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, chocolates were a lovely touch. Felt very homely. I would highly recommend this property and definitely book again. Really good value for money.

"SPLENDIDLY SPECTACULAR!"

the area is surrounded by mountains! so the views from the windows are spectacular indeed! My son loved the telescope by the window. Generous accomodation—with milk, teas, coffee water, biscuits and chocolate! thank you! It is warm, clean and comfortable place to spend the half term break! My son enjoyed it and doesnt want to go back home.
