Modern Edinburgh Apartment 2 bedrooms & two bathrooms

The apartment itself is great. Two bedrooms, two baths, so lots of space, with wooden floors and a separate kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there was lots of room and storage both in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Parking was available for free inside the garage. The hosts were responsive and quick.

The experience itself fell short. The kitchenware was insufficient for the amount of guests and haphazardly put together (mismatched cups, not enough types of glasses, missing cutlery...). The kitchen cabinets were greasy. Although it was advertised as having a dryer (which we were planning on using), it was not functioning properly and when we consulted the host, they suggested we use the drying rack (which was difficult considering the short stay and bad weather). The sofa was smelly and the dining table was wobbly. One of the windows in the living room wasn't functioning properly and the blinds on the other window were broken. The apartment is located 45 min door to door to the city centre, though the bus stop is close and there are lots of buses available. Upon arrival, we unfortunately noticed that we were missing towels and after investigating, we found dirty towels from the previous guests in the laundry basket. We contacted the hosts, who promptly responded and solved the issue.

We liked the minimalist vibe, art and cool table in the lounge. Having two bathrooms and a kitchen was nice, as well as the private parking. There was a also an Aldi and Sainsbury's nearby which was great and helpful too. The hosts were great and really friendly, they also printed out several sheets of useful information with recommendations (in several languages as well!).

Lounge dining table could potentially be replaced (slightly wobbly) but that's being nitpicky! Also the smoke alarm was a bit easy to trigger when cooking breakfast.

Spacious apartment. Comfy beds. Really convenient for getting into the town centre and loads of buses nearby.
