Stunning Sea View Whole Home In Torbay Close To Beach

The apartment was lovely. It was clean and spacious enough for the 5 of us. The location was beautiful. The walk down the hill to the beach took about 10 mins, but it’s very, very steep and the way back was a challenge! We went to the hotel down the road for drinks one night, had breakfast on the beach from the cafe and a wonderful Sunday lunch in the pub at the bottom of the hill. A car is definitely recommended to fully enjoy the area. Torquay is a 5 minute drive away. Each room having their own private shower room made getting ready so much easier and the beds were super comfortable. No hesitation in recommending this beautiful apartment.

There’s no freezer in the property, not even a small one in the fridge. We wish we’d known that before we bought the ice cubes :) Would also have been nice to have a coffee machine. The courtyard garden was untidy and full of overgrown weeds. We even pulled a lot of them up, so we could use the area.

Beautiful view, very comfortable, very well equipped , parking for 2 cars , contact with property managers was quick and efficient

Sort of needed your own transport ? Although not far from many places with your car . Entrance to property tucked away , although plenty of instructions were sent

Great location. Excellent accomodation.

Lost electricity for an hour but got sorted.

Absolutely stunning location, beautiful property with high ceilings, lots of space, lovely and warm.. every single thing was perfect from the rolled up towels, shower gels and biscuits on arrival - to the games, books and little extras like washing up bits that we would normally have to take. 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms meant even the kids had enough space to be separated and give me peace 😂 The location is amazing, and at an absolute steal of a price!! We will be back again that’s for sure. Thankyou so much!

Nothing stood out.

Property was much smaller than the pictures suggested, property wasn’t clean, cutlery & pots were very dirty, pop bottles left in bedroom from previous guest, stains on the settee, mould in bathrooms. Received an abrupt message from the owner to realign our cars in car park, NO HOT WATER on first night , had to contact the owner which took multiple attempts, owner didn’t seem surprised the hot water was off, it was on a cost saving timer and had to be manually over riden, meant we had no hot water from 4pm-9pm for 6 of us staying together. Some Heaters didn’t work. Overall cold , not clean & not great customer service.

I chose the property for the area and peace and quiet. I needed somewhere warm and on one level due to my health conditions. Firstly it was up and uneven poorly kept and lit gravel path that led to the back of the property then down some steps to patio doors. This ment I had to carry cases which I couldn't do. The back court yard was untidy and unkept and looked out onto an old building with masonry walls that were in obvious need of repair. It looked like a disused part of a building. The property was poorly heated. With the heaters only coming on at certain times which meant when it was off it was freezing. Twice while I was there the electric ran out which was done on a card meter which was allocated under the coach house in the 3rd garage. Which to get to I had to squeeze down the side of an old car and other garage junk in the dark and cold. I then had to wait until morning to contact the owner. Once having called the contact number I was told to go and knock on the main house front door and explain what's happening as he couldn't get hold of the person responsible. After having been knocking for a while two workmen having a cuppa offered to ring his phone. Eventually a half dressed man who had obviously just been woken up came down with key cards and hey presto I had electric again and could now make a cuppa to warm me up. I would like to add that this was at the end of November so it was cold.and very windy and at night the 3rd garage door that didn't shut properly banged continuously so on several nights I stayed at my son's house so I could get some sleep. This then happened a second time. I couldn't get hold of the 1st listed emergency number so I called the second to have spoken to a lovely lady who apologised and said she couldn't help me as she was no longer the contact point and this keeps happening and she's asked to have her name taken off the details.
