GBThe cottage is very cosy and very clean . Me and my partner had a fantastic relaxed weekend. Mersea is 15 minutes away and so are some lovely country walks . The hosts were very polite and gave us lots of information before arrival.

One of the single beds (on right hand side of room as you look at beds) was very worn on one side, causing my husband to fall out of the bed on both nights as he turned over and there was no support to keep him in bed. He really hurt his wrist and has marks on his face now, where he hit the floor. It was difficult to walk our small dog so she could wee etc as the 5 dogs outside in the garden barked loudly at different times of the day and when they saw our dog, which scared ours so she didn’t want to go outside. The location next to a busy road with speeding cars meant it was dangerous to reverse park onto the drive and equally leave the drive, since on a bend with neighbours vehicles blocking view. Even with windows shut we woke constantly due to traffic noise so not really a retreat.

GBIt is a lovely and cosy spot for a quick stop off or short stay. It was warm with facilities there. Lovely views
We expected the lack of space, but you can't really cook a proper meal, I only say incase anybody likes to extreme cook.. A blind in the bathroom is a must as I had a farmer ploughing the field at 7am in the morning. Handle needed to close the shower door. One morning we had no water which we assume was due to bad weather it came back on but we texted the host with no response but got a reply 3 days later when we got home...

Main road, no enclosed garden area for added privacy , bedroom layout due to being conversion. Kitchen limited workspace
GBExcellent place to stay if you want to visit the area, it is actually more spacious than may look at the pictures, and has everything you need. Highly recommended!

V small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Needed to be a contortionist to go from the bedroom to the bathroom. Dangerous blind bend when leaving the property. Lot of road noise.
GBA good, comfortable little retreat, with a thoughtful welcome pack. Sunset over the field next door was beautiful.
My 6’1 husband found the upstairs a little tight but it was part of the adventure!
