Location was great bus stop just down the drive and was able to hire parking space next to the one for the accommodation on justpark so I could go into bath for the early start

Please do yourself a favor and DO look further. Horrible stay and would NOT reccomend. We stayed here for three nights with five people. One of the bedrooms, which had two single beds, was completely uninhabitable due to a strong, unpleasant smell of mold and damp. The carpet was soaking wet, making it impossible to sleep or even move around in the room. We were forced to move the mattresses downstairs into the kitchen/living area. Archie, the host, responded only once to our messages and promised to provide a blow-up bed the following day to replace the rock hard, uncomfortable (and far too small) sofa bed. That bed never arrived. After that, the host completely ignored all further messages, never answered calls, and didn’t respond during the rest of our stay and we tried so many times to reach out. This lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. None of us were able to get proper rest due to these issues. On top of that, basic necessities such as tea, coffee, and sugar were not provided, and there weren’t enough towels or bed sheets for the entire group. Even after our stay, we’ve had no response or apology from the host, and he has also ignored communication from Booking.com, making it impossible for our complaint to move forward. Absolutely unacceptable experience.

Unfortunately there was an unpleasant strong smell of damp in the bedrooms which was the worst thing. Tea stained cups weren’t great and the lounge was very basic and uncomfortable. Definitely not for up to 5 people as advertised or worth the price we paid for two nights. We definitely would not return with VAS Homes. All other holidays on booking.com advertised at 4 stars have been excellent but this was disappointing.

We were a family of 5x adults, and we were very comfortable. The property has ample room and all the facilities you need for a short stay. We like the location, too. A 30-minute walk from the town. We definitely recommended it.

Good location Clean

No Tea bags, coffee, salt , pepper in kitchen No Decent Shampoo or Soap in the bathrooms Stepping over the cleaning equipment -vacuum cleaner, broom, bucket etc to get to the fridge. Couldn’t hang clothes in wardrobe as it was full of linen and full bags of goodness knows what!

The proximity to the city, making it very easy to walk

There was no attention to detail- no tea or coffee provided, no toiletries, very limited kitchen equipment, plugs too close to the floor that you couldn’t use, no full hanging space in main bedroom (tried moving the chest of drawers to facilitate that but it was black with mould behind it). Light switches missing parts, light not properly secured to wall in sitting area. Sofa was really uncomfortable and we couldn’t relax as a family at the end of the day. Overall quite a tired property that could have really had the wow factor. Oh and a complaint when someone came to visit us and parked their car behind us- we were told this is an additional cost in the pre-booking form. Unfortunately we never received this and had to chase on numerous occasions

The best part was definitely the beds – very comfortable with clean sheets. The upstairs bathroom, especially the shower, was also very good. The kitchen is adequate if you're not planning to cook much. The garden is pleasant, and having convenient parking right outside was a bonus.
