I couldn’t find the door to the building and then had to ask for help to negotiate the strange locking system. The mattress was filthy - unfit for use and should have been changed. The mattress cover was stained with probably semen. A disgusting thing to find. I had removed the duvet as it was so hot and the bed linen became loose which is how I found his dirty it was. There was no comfy chair. The carpets were dirty and stained and hadn’t been vacuumed. Terrible conditions for the price of the room. As an elderly woman travelling alone I felt unsafe and disgusted with the situation. There was no one in charge and no one answered my telephone calls. I would appreciate consideration of a refund. I will certainly not recommend the place to anyone.

Self Check Inn war kompliziert, da die Tastatur auf dem Türknauf nicht mal eben erkennbar war. Das System sollte man vernünftig kommunizieren, zumal ausserhalb noch Schlüsselkästen vorhanden sind (wofür auch immer). Auf dem Teppichboden hätte ich meinen Hund nicht übernachten lassen.

The accommodation was just off the main shopping area and close to all the areas of interest. The walls, the garrison, the beach etc. So I was able to walk for miles along the various pathways and along the coast paths and river paths. The room was very clean and en-suite which was great. I fully relaxed here and felt safe on my own. I was able to request to place my baggage in the room before 4pm which was agreed.

The front door needs attention it needs to be repaired, repainted and able to be locked easily. It makes the building look tired which it isnt inside and thanks to the seagulls the outside windows should be washed often.

Good location. Did the job for a one night stay.

Parking a bit of a gamble apart from Sunday. TV cable was faulty so could not watch it. Room not spotlessly clean (dirty walls). Not even a bar of soap provided in the bathroom, totally bare. Blinds insufficient for mid summer morning light.

We liked where it was, that was the only thing!

Where do I start? There were stains all over the carpet for starters, nearly smashed the shower screen whenever you try to turn the shower on, the TV signal was so glitchy you couldn’t watch it and that’s just for starters! At some point in the night the alarm box started emitting a droning tone noise indicating an error / smoke alarm. Our room wall was the other side of the alarm box, this went on all night, stopping and starting. Before 8am we were up and ringing the staff to complain, a woman with broken english could not understand the problem, despite being able to hear the noise! She promised the manager would phone us back, still waiting 2 weeks on. I’ve tried contacting via booking.com customer services to be assured the message has been passed on to the Managers, no response! We hardly slept a wink, staff not on site and when we did contact them they didn’t call back! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! If there had have been a fire the smoke alarms would have gone off but the box indicated error. Horrendous customer service!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
