Sandgate Chapel - Self Check In Apartments

Loved the layout and the originality of the chapel we had a beautiful big window from room 4. The location couldn’t have been more perfect and the room and facilities was practical for wha we needed. The bed and pillows was so comfortable.

It was extremely hot although we did have a fan. Although the bathroom was clean the grout and plug in the shower made it look unclean. We had a door upstairs that was a fire exit door that sounded like it was at the side of the stairs that other guests use and the volume of noise was was really loud and disturbed us however I appreciate this isn’t the property but a quiet and a good night sleep is a huge part of the stay.

A lovely, clean and cosy place to stay with great access to anywhere you’d like to be in the Lakes - loved that the apartment was dog friendly, and great communication from the owners!

Not that this majorly impacts anything but a couple of things to note: - if travelling with a dog who gets quite dirty (like my own), then there is no handheld shower head to clean them off after a long walk in the lakes, just a waterfall shower and a bath. We still managed :) - Water is on an immersion heater, which we didn’t realise until I jumped into a cold bath 😂 was absolutely fine once we clicked the heater back on and gave it a while to heat up! - The fan in the oven of apartment 2 seems to be loose, we cooked in the oven and it sounded horrific, but worked fine! Nothing that would put us off coming again - wonderful place at a great price :)
