Villa Noël Hakone Fuji Sauna&Open Air Bath

The place was excellent, except that it only had only one toilet area. That was our only comment about it. An extra toilet area for a group of 7-8 would be great! Other than that, it’s a place to relax, see a bit of Mt Fuji, Lake Ashii and the shrine.

The villa was beautiful, and the view was incredible looking over Lake Ashi and Hakone. It was amazing to see Mt Fuji from the dining able and top deck. The sauna and jacuzzi were great touches, the air conditioning was easy to use and change, and the wooden bath was very relaxing. It was great to be able to use the washing machine facilities half way through our holiday.

We had hired a car so it was easy to go to the centre but it can be hard if you do not have your own transport as it is an uphill climb.

The property was beautiful, exactly as shown. Everything worked well, especially the washer/dryer. We had all the cooking necessities except an oven, which was fine for us. We had plenty of blankets, which was so nice, and towels. It was just the relaxing stay we were hoping for at the end of our two-week trip in Japan. The view was amazing! We got to see Mt. Fuji in the early morning. The highlight of the house is the jacuzzi tub, which you fill when you get there, and the sauna. It was amazing! The indoor soaking tub was great too. It felt like a spa. The town was more sleepy than I expected. There were only 1-2 restaurants open on Monday. It was very quiet, but also nice if you’re just there to relax. Our 3 teen girls were looking for a few more shops :) I would definitely stay here again, but I would bring a car so we could get around more easily and see more of the area. It was gorgeous!

I wish we would have known that we couldn’t use the decks after 9pm. With three kids, 9pm is our time to wind down and relax together, but we couldn’t use the outside. That was really disappointing. I have some mobility issues and we didn’t rent a car, so the walk down to the town was difficult for me (fine for the rest of the family), but that’s the only place to get food, go out to eat, catch the bus back, etc. I also wish we’d have brought more substantial food than just snacks with us, because there’s no grocery store, just a 7 Eleven and a Lawsons.

Very lucky find: this lovely villa is located in nature, overlooking Lake Ashi, a 10 minute walk down to Moto Hakone promenade with restaurants, shops etc. The home itself is luxurious, with an awesome sauna & hot tub and a large living area with terrace, boasting views of Fuji. We reached it very easily & the host was super helpful to recommend transport, taxi etc. We had a very relaxing time, particularly starting the day with coffee & a view! Everything was spotless and designed to ensure a very comfortable stay. Nearby attractions include the floating Torii, a rope way & lake cruises.
