Heart of Wilton 3 Recently Remodeled

No physical key was necessary to access the property. A security code was provided by access by a doors keyboard. The security property access code was provided with the stay conformation.

Everything was excellent about the property facilities.

The property is listed as recently remodeled and that statement has truth to it but not what I expected. The kitchen has been remodeled and has brand new appliances and cabinets. I give that aspect a 100% A grade. The location was exactly what I expected and I'm pleased with that. The area was quiet and peaceful even though there were several night clubs that backed up to the property. There was adequate parking for this building and I never had any issues finding a spot. The battery powered door lock worked correctly each time I used it. The bed was comfortable and the sheets etc were acceptable.

The building is very old and still had the original single-pane windows. Several of the windows were missing the locks so aftermarket cheap locks were on those windows. The area where the locks are have not been wiped down in some time and are covered in a thick layer of dust. One of the window screens looks like someone tried to break into the unit as it is bent up. In looking at it closer it appears to be the original screen and is literally rotting and crumbling into dust. The front door is very stiff and hard to open/close at times. The furniture (except the bed) is total garbage and looks like it was bought at the Goodwill Store. Very poor quality with deep scratches on it. Some of the drawers are warped and they don't close. The floors are filthy. There are 24" square tiles throughout and the grout was never sealed so some of the grout is black while other is still brand new looking. There are stains from what looks like some type of adhesive on the tiles that make them look even worse. I saw lint/dust around several of the HVAC ducts and found the air filter because I knew something was amiss. The air filter was clogged and had not been changed any time recently. The rear door had a 16" opening in it that I could see sunlight come through. This opening was where the door seal was and there is an issue with the way the door was installed. It also had a sticker on it saying don't use the door.

Nothing, we ended up leaving and finding another property to stay at. There were homeless people at the end of the road that the property was on, they approached the car to ask for money on several occasions, there was also a congregation of men walking around the street. The location is very close to the Main Street however we would not have felt safe walking from the property to the end of the street.

The street the property was located on. Which was such a shame as the properties themselves around the streets were not that bad at all.

water pressure is very bad ; bathtub had no rubber rug which makes it very dangerous to have a shower ( we bought one and left it in the apartment for the owner to profit ...) ; for almost 3 weeks we had not a change of towels (!!!) which is ridiculous ; not even one single curtain in the apartment (!!!) meaning that after 6 a.m. you can not sleep anylonger due to sunshine in the bedroom... ; for 3 weeks the owner did not show up at all , not even to say ''hello'' or to ask if we need something ... ; except in the livingroom , no rugs in the apartment , so the foor was always freezing (!) ; most of the electrical wall sockets were not functioning ... ; for the price we paid , we were expecting at least a change of sheets and towels during our stay ... ; lack of lights in several places , for instance in the bedroom you have to use a flashlight cause there is no lamp in the ceiling despite the fact that there is a switch on the wall !!! etc,etc,etc .... THE WHOLE PLACE RATHER SPARTAN !!!

The property was in a great location to the places we wanted to visit. It looked recently renovated so everything was fairly new. It was small but more than adequate for two people and I loved the large closet for hanging our clothes and storing our bags. Although there were not many "extras" with the property, we did appreciate that they supplied a small bag of coffee so we had something in the morning.

The property was nice and met our needs but it was pretty basic. My normal experiences with AirBnb's is a little more than just basic. Example, the towels were small and very thin, when a nice plush bath towel would be a nice touch. There were also no extra towels or wash rags. Many times there is a small welcome note or gift when you arrive but nothing here, not even a note or any suggestions for things to do in the area. We had a problem the first night when the room was too cold and we could not get the thermostat to work. I contacted the management and the girl I spoke with asked me to send a picture because she didn't know much about thermostats. I told her I believe the batteries were dead. To their credit, they had someone come by that afternoon and replace the batteries.

The location was great and walking distance to everything, the apartment was clean, it was quiet, good value for the money.

The sofa (futon) in the living room had a metal frame that was right between the 2 seats cushions. I sat on the sofa in the middle of the 2 cushions and sat right on a metal bar that was not properly placed. I’m glad I didn’t sit down too hard. Also, It is a smaller sofa also. There were 2 adults total staying in the apartment. They had 2 smaller straight back chairs with no arms in the living room besides the small sofa. It would have been nice to have had at least a club chair and ottoman or a recliner, especially since the sofa was smaller. The internet connection was weak and the YouTube TV would start and stop. It was hard to watch live football games. The furniture was adequate and clean, these are just my thoughts for improvement.
