The Bull Inn

Very comfortable bed, extremely clean and convenient location and parking.

The attitude of some of the staff was disappointing, almost 40% of the main courses on the dinner menu were unavailable. The food was average. Whilst the age of the premises is unavoidable, the route to the bedroom involved multiple steps at different levels and would be very difficult for guests with any reduced mobility. Also the access to the bathroom involved further steps which could be a problem st night.

Characterful Olde English Inn, helpful staff. Rooms were well decorated and clean. Comfortable bed. Layout of room a bit quirky e.g. tea making tray opposite side of room to bin due to space constraints (smaller receptable needed for tea bags etc.). Restaurant food is typical pub food rather than gourmet but I had an excellent and very well-cooked sirloin steak and fries and rest of group enjoyed their food. Nice wine list. Breakfast was excellent.

I didn't like a 6 foot bed with a 5 foot bed duvet in the cover. Would have liked a lidded bin for wipes and sanitary towels in the bathroom and not the open bin in the bedroom. A grab rail in shower really ought to be a must these days. It's very close to the A11 dual carriageway so hardly quiet but would suit a business traveller needing a comfortable room for the night.

Really enjoyed our stay, very friendly staff and a quirky and interesting building - it's got character and so it isn't a standard "business box" room which made it even more enjoyable!

Would have to attempt to be overly picky to write something here!

Lovely property in a great location, the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Would recommend the bill in to stay.
