"Leuke sfeervolle plek"

Leuk en charmant plekje. Voldoende parkeerplaats en een hele leuke pub waar je lekker kan eten. Personeel was vriendelijk en we voelde ons ook met ons kleine kindje erg welkom. Zeker een aanrader!

Eigenlijk niet zoveel. Grootste nadeel was dat het heel erg gehorig is, al is dat ook best logisch als je in zo'n oud gebouw gaat slapen.

Bed was comfortable

Shower water was too hot and couldn't be turned down. There were very minimal shelves etc in room to put belongings on. They do not do food on a Monday which was not mentioned on your website. Have to drive to get food as location quite remote. Breakfast was expensive.

Friendly pub.

We were two hours early. Our room was ready but we were charged £20 extra to use it before 3pm. We were disappointed as most places would be happy to let you in the room if ready. Without charge.

"Echte engelse sfeer in Kent"

De Crispen inn ligt in het lieflijke gehucht Worth in Kent, halfuurtje met de auto vanaf Dover of de Channeltunnel. De pub is echt typisch Engels, echt genieten. Was wel jammer dat er op de dag van aankomst geen real ale beschikbaar was, voor mij wel een priority puntje. Er zijn kamers boven de pub en ook 4 in een bijgebouw. Op de foto's van booking.com miste ik de tuin (beergarden) en dat is op zonnige dagen echt een aanrader. De menukaart geeft veel typisch Engelse gerechten, de steakpie sprong er tussen uit, erg lekker. Walker castle met haar mooie tuinen ligt op 15 km afstand, ook een bezoekje waard.

Op deze zaterdagochtend bleek alleen de kok aanwezig, die dus de klanten moest bedienen en het ontbijt moest verzorgen. De man deed erg zijn best maar het ontbijt was wel erg vet en ik bedoel meer dan gemiddeld. Zal een incident zijn, maar gezien de pluspunten toch de moeite waard.
