LISBON STORYTELLERS - Terrace by the River

La casa, estaba bien, es amplia, y hemos estado agusto.

El portal, escaleras y ascensor estaban en malas condiciones, estaban muy descuidadas, y daba mala sensación.

Gostamos muito do apartamento em si e a localização. Se você veio ler os comentários porque está em dúvidas, não esteja mas. O apartamento é ótimo, para famílias com e sem crianças e até para amigos. Encontramos tudo limpo e organizado, aparelhos funcionando bem, bom aquecedor e pressão de água, cozinha com todos os utensílios necessários. O metro fica frente ao edifício assim como nas fotos, caminhando 2 minutos até a porta de entrada. Os funcionários são bem gentis e as chaves foram entregues no local pontualmente. Foi uma boa escolha, e voltaremos em breve.

Faltou um pouco de iluminação nas escadas durante a noite, mas isso foi somente uma vez.

Everything. The area was rundown, the outside of the building needed severe renovation. The communal areas were dark, narrow and you felt very unsafe. The flats underneath had been gutted and were being renovated. The lifts were tiny and dark. There was no kettle, a bad smell in the bathroom, wallpaper peeling in the front room. Sockets loose on the wall. The patio door lock didn’t work. The beds didn’t look comfy. The whole apartment needs decorating. We left a few hours after arriving as we were three women on our own and we didn’t feel safe using the stairwell and walking back at night. There is nothing in the area you have to walk quite a distance for amenities. We managed to secure an apartment in a better area but obviously this was an extra expense to us. We don’t understand all the good reviews this apartment has received. The only review we felt that was accurate was on the 19th March from a Canadian family.

There were not enough pillows for every person in the place. /reservation was for 5/

1st floor apartment and has a lift. Location was perfect for getting on trains to go and explore. Apartment was well equipped with everything you need. Great outdoor seating area, kitchen, big bathroom, 2 good size bedrooms , dining table and sofa.

Bathroom shower was moldy. Shower drain didn't work properly and we had to shower in 1 inch of standing water. Kitchen counter was dirty, stained and scorched. Kitchen faucet was leaking and counter top around sink was full of mildew. Only 1 heating unit was working and the whole apartment was damp and cold for our entire 12 day stay. No oven in the kitchen. Wallpaper was peeling in the living room. The 2 single beds in one room were basically cots and the double bed was so low to the floor it is difficult for a senior or anyone with mobility issues to get in or out of it. Worst of all - renovations were going on in the building and we had to suffer through the sound of jackhammers, concrete drills, hammering, etc. from 8 am to 4 pm each day. (No chance for a lie in or an afternoon nap). Noise was so bad we even felt vibrations in the floor. We eventually had to get out early every day to avoid the noise. I can't imagine the property managers were not aware of the noisy renovations. Tiny elevators were frequently unavailable. Stairwell lights are on a timer and when they go off you have to feel your way along in complete darkness. No windows or light to see your way. Parts of building are crumbling (See photos). Overall, a miserable place to stay. Very disappointed.
