Vega Resort Restaurant & Lodge

Nicely located hotel with amazing view of the Danube river bay and surrounding hills. New clean air-conditioning room with nice view on the river and hills. Our room had independent entrance and comfortable beds. Supportive and responsive staff, we had big delay due to huge queues on the Romanian border, so we arrived late at night. However the hostess was there to check-in us (as we agreed before by the call). Breakfast was in the nice hotel cafe on the ground floor. The breakfast itself was on the usual level we expected from hotels of the same level. All expected set of products and usual continental breakfast dishes were present there and had a good quality.

I wouldn't say we have any specific complaints. Few points to those ones who are sensitive for such things or for whom it can be important are below: Just as I expected the nearest railway and the road traffic were heard, but not so drastic. Air-conditioning helped to have doors and windows closed. So the noise didn't bother us. For those who prefer early check-outs - the hotel has late breakfast by usual standards. They start to serve after 9 in the morning.

All was good: location, external environment, service, comfortable room for 2+1 family (not so much popular in other hotels), very nice lightning outside the building, tasty food at restaurant, we've enjoyed a lot stay there (maybe except mosquitoes...)

Swimming pool was missing to make this place perfect destination :-) Breakfast - hot dishes could be freshly prepared to make them warm and not dry (especially scramble eggs).

When you do a shower, the bathroom is flooded!

The staff in the restaurant was very kind. The room was clean. There is a free parking space.

The hotel use to be good, but there is lots of things that need to be better for 4 stars hotel. The staff speak very limited English, but the menu is only in Romanian language and it's difficult to order in the restaurant. In front of the hotel is the main road and it provides constant noise 24 hours. We had breakfast included and when asked for the time, the owner says 9.00, then 8.00..... we asked for 7.30 and she agreed, but in the next morning at 7.35 there was nobody.... and we've gone! The prices for the room and in the restaurant are higher than similar in 🇷🇴. I don't recommend this hotel. Sorry
