Hotel Casa Puerta de Mar

Great location. Friendly staff . Made it easy to come and go between sight seeing .

The hotel was really nice and my room was beautiful. I was so excited when I first got to my room.

The location on 59 was great in till night time. I am not a soft sleeper so the happy drinkers were not a problem. It was a certain street singer all three nights that was so loud that I could not sleep in till 2:30am in the morning. I feel bad for the less than great reviews for a reason that’s not their fault. One other problem is the pillows. It’s strange that the decor and everything in my room was great except for the pillow cases were way too short for every pillow. It made my sleep very uncomfortable. Simple thing to fix, just didn’t make sense.

Location couldn't be better, right in heart of historic town, on a pedestrian street with lots of cafes. Rooftop plunge pool and terrace was nice. Staff were friendly and allowed is early check in.

Room, bathroom and bed were all small, which did make our stay less comfortable. Room was airless and very hot though there was air conditioning (but so close to the bed, difficult to sleep with it on).

Perfect location for restaurants, museums, central square, malecon ( promenade) and bus to and from Tren Maya. Very clean. All staff excellent. Roof terrace a great space to relax with small pool. Free coffee , and sometimes biscuits. Very good value for money.

My only complaint is about the hand basin (too small) and shower/toilet area. Very cramped and would be very difficult for large people to use. I had room number 3. Other rooms may be different.

- Room was spacious - Air conditioning was powerful - Bed was comfortable - Location was great as you are on the main street where all the restaurants are

- There was no hair dryer - The internet connection was very patchy which made watching the tv very difficult. To solve this issue they must install a modem on each room or at least on each floor.

Location was perfect on Calle 59 right in the heart of the UNESCO site that is Campeche! Rooms were small and the bathrooms very tight, we stayed in Dec when it's quite cool, with the ac u it's running up the middle of the building I would not like to imagine how hot the rooms get in the summer months. Value for money- had the WiFi not broken after the first day I would say for the location it was good but without WiFi it made things more challenging for us as this is a facility we always need. Property is really well presented the theme is calm and flows throughout the building wll the way to the rooftop terrace. The view is lovely up there, we didn't use the very small pool as it was quite cloudy. The staff on the roof terrace were super friendly but it wasn't clear there was a bar service so we didn't ask, perhaps a menu on the wall or on the bar area? Nevertheless it's a nice place to relax however, the WiFi fault meant we were unable to use it as planned to chill and book our next journey. Staff - Sharon, D'Arcy and Ann were all really pleasant, Ann also helped us book a taxi when we were leaving, it's just a shame they seemed to have no capacity to fix the WiFi. All in all a great locational authentic building for a short stay in Campeche

WiFi broke and very small bathrooms

Great location between historic centre and the promenade along the water front. Cool roof top terrace with mini pool and great views on calle 59.

Room and bathroom were quite small and tend to get stuffy, air con will blow right into your face = best way to get sick.
