Little Dockray One-Bed Apartment Centre of Penrith

Small flat, but clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee, sugar, soap and dishcloth provided, which was good. It was a great location in the centre of town. Loads of shops, restaurants and pubs around. Owner suggested parking at morrisons, which is a 5 minute walk away and very reasonably priced. Would stay again.

Not easy getting parked to unload the car, found that quite stressful. Can be a bit noisy with traffic, but didn't stop us sleeping, it's quieter during the night.

The only positive was its location once we got there—just a 5-minute walk from the station and right in the center of town.

The accommodation was just okay. It felt very congested, and the worst part was the noise—despite the windows being shut, it was still extremely loud inside. For three nights, we could hardly sleep due to the constant sound of passing vehicles; it honestly felt like we were sleeping right on the road. Another issue was the location on Google Maps—it was inaccurate, and it took us quite a while to actually find the place.

The apartment is a great little place! Some wonderful touches to make it really homely. The hosts were always at the end of the email and couldn't be more helpful. The cleaners were a lovely couple that changed the bedding and towels reguarly and were always up for a chat. We stayed here as we were in the middle of a house move and wanted somewhere I could be comfortable on my days off... this was definitely the place.

Honestly the only thing holding this great little apartment back is the traffic noise. Living in Penrith we know the road is busy and a main route through the town, but sometimes it even annoyed us. We used earplugs throughout the stay (3 weeks in total) so they are a must!

Comfortable and very clean in a central location close to all amenities.

The road noise is an issue so may need earplugs!
